8 unvaccinated Filipinos from China test positive for COVID-19

Eight unvaccinated Filipinos from China tested positive for COVID-19 upon their return to the Philippines.

The Bureau of Quarantine identified 89 close contacts, including 43 Filipinos and 46 foreign nationals, who are being monitored daily until the end of the protocol.

Of the close contacts, only one exhibited symptoms and has been isolated pending test results. The breakdown includes 19 asymptomatic individuals from Flight 1, 23 fully vaccinated individuals from Flight 2, and 27 vaccinated Filipinos from Flight 3.
