DOH justifies raising N. Samar alert level to 4

The Department of Health justified raising Northern Samar's alert level to 4 due to the province reaching an 80% bed capacity for Covid-19 patients.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire noted that healthcare utilization rates in these areas have surpassed 70%, necessitating stricter measures.

Starting January 21, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and Northern Samar are under Alert Level 4 until the end of January, with strict capacity limits for establishments and prohibitions on certain activities.
