Bacolod locks down areas with Delta variant cases

Bacolod City has implemented a lockdown in two residential areas in Barangays Sum-ag and Banago due to confirmed cases of the Delta variant.

The Department of Health informed Mayor Evelio Leonardia about the positive results from genome sequencing conducted by the Philippine Genome Center.

One case involves a 71-year-old asymptomatic man from Barangay Banago, with five other household members also testing positive for mild symptoms.
