DOH: 459 new COVID-19 cases; active infections drop to 11,779

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 459 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, bringing the total active cases to 11,779.

This is an increase from Wednesday's report of 326 new cases and a slight decrease in active cases from 11,786.

The national caseload now stands at 4,065,910 with 3,988,680 recoveries and 65,451 deaths.

Metro Manila leads the regions with the most cases over the past two weeks (2,519), followed by Calabarzon (1,211) and Central Luzon (581).

Quezon City has the highest number of infections among areas at 587, followed by Cavite (335) and Manila (320).
