DOH sees no need for additional travel restrictions from China

The situation for Filipinos in China remains stable despite the increase in COVID-19 cases, according to Philippine Ambassador Jaime FlorCruz.

DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire stated there is no need for additional travel restrictions from China based on current scientific evidence and global transmission patterns.

Vergeire emphasized that while heightened surveillance of incoming travelers has been implemented following eight unvaccinated Filipinos testing positive upon arrival, the DOH does not see a reason to impose further restrictions.
