DepEd suspends nat'l, reg'l events but NSPC, NFOT proceed

The Department of Education (DepEd) has suspended all national and regional activities that require travel and congregation due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19.

Only the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) and the National Festival of Talents (NFOT), which are already underway, will continue as scheduled with heightened precautions.

All other events, including regional athletic meets, are suspended until further notice.

DepEd requires organizers to report any suspended activities to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service.
