Duterte suspends NCR classes over coronavirus

President Duterte suspended classes in Metro Manila from March 10 to 14 due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.

The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) have directed local officials to ensure students are not seen loitering around public places like malls, movie houses, markets, and other crowded areas during this period.

Navotas City, Pasay City, Cainta in Rizal, Taytay in Rizal, San Juan City, Marikina City, Lingayen in Pangasinan, Assumption College, Bagong Lipunan Crame Elementary School and High School in Quezon City, and Trinity University of Asia had already canceled classes on March 9 as a precautionary measure.
