Malacañang extends Metro Manila class suspension until April 14

Malacañang extended the cancellation of classes in Metro Manila until April 14, 2020 due to the threat of COVID-19.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea stated that all levels and school activities shall remain suspended during this period.

The Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and other regulatory agencies will ensure students can still fulfill their requirements.

President Duterte also accepted the Inter-Agency Task Force's recommendation to extend class suspensions until April 12 in Metro Manila as part of Code Red Sub-Level 2 measures.

The IATF emphasized that all students must continue fulfilling educational requirements, and local government units will ensure students stay at home.
