Delta variant case in Taguig never set foot in city while infected

A returning overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Taguig tested positive for the Delta variant while in quarantine and never set foot in the city while infected, according to local authorities.

The patient was detected as early as May during mandatory quarantine upon arrival and was not released until fully recovered.

Department of Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire clarified that this is not a local infection but an OFW with permanent residence in Taguig.
