DOH reports 55 new Delta variant cases, total now 119

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 55 new Delta variant cases on Sunday, bringing the country’s total to 119.

Among these new cases, one has died while 54 have recovered; 37 were local cases with addresses in Calabarzon (14), Northern Mindanao (8), National Capital Region (6), Central Luzon (6), Davao Region (2), and Ilocos Region (1); the rest are returning overseas Filipinos.

The DOH also reported additional Alpha variant cases, bringing the total to 94; Beta variant cases increased by 179 to a total of 179; and Theta variant cases rose by nine to a total of nine.
