DA allocates P2-B aid for 'Ulysses'-hit farmers in Cagayan

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has allocated PHP2 billion worth of projects and assistance for farmers affected by Typhoon Ulysses in Cagayan Valley.

The aid includes rice seeds, fertilizer, corn seeds, vegetable seeds, poultry, goat, duck livelihood programs, and food and cash assistance.

National Food Authority committed to provide 18,500 bags of well-milled rice for Isabela and 14,500 bags for Cagayan, amounting to PHP41 million.

For Cagayan, a certificate of award worth PHP846 million was already turned over by Secretary Dar to Governor Manuel Mamba.

The total allocation is PHP986 million for Isabela; PHP148 million for Nueva Vizcaya; and PHP96 million for Quirino.
