DSWD releases P14M aid for Ulysses-hit LGUs

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has released P14 million in resource augmentation to local government units affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

On November 12, DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao stated that the agency still has over PHP800 million available for typhoon victims, including PHP226 million in standby funds and PHP184 million in quick response funds.

DSWD has stockpiles of food and non-food items worth over PHP578 million ready for distribution.

As of Thursday, DSWD had provided assistance to affected areas with 1,000 family food packs and sleeping kits for Quezon City and Marikina City, and additional supplies for Rizal, San Narciso, Legazpi, Albay, and Camarines Norte.
