Cuajao scores 34, hits game-winning three in double OT

Vince Cuajao scored a game-winning three-pointer in double overtime, securing Letran Knights' victory over San Sebastian College-Stags with a final score of 101-98 in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Tuesday.

Cuajao led all scorers with 34 points, including seven three-pointers, while Jimboy Estrada contributed 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Letran.

Despite maintaining leads at various points during the game, San Sebastian's Rafael Are hit a tying three-pointer late in regulation, forcing an overtime period. Cuajao scored nine points in the first overtime while Estrada had five points in the second OT to secure the win.

Letran coach Allen Ricardo praised Cuajao for his clutch performance and noted that he has the confidence to take crucial shots when needed, improving Letran's record to 7-6 and temporarily breaking a three-way tie at fourth place with EAC and Lyceum.

Cuajao's outstanding performance against San Sebastian is expected to make him a key target for their next opponent, the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, who will face Letran in an upcoming game on Saturday.
