Chris Hubilla leads Mapua past San Beda for Player of the Week

Chris Hubilla's defensive effort and standout performance helped Mapua University secure a thrilling 58-55 victory over San Beda in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament.

Hubilla, who averaged 17.33 points, 7.33 rebounds, 4.33 assists, 1 steal, and 0.33 blocks per game, earned the nod of the Collegiate Press Corps for the Player of the Week award after leading Mapua to three straight wins.

In addition to his performance against San Beda, Hubilla also contributed significantly in victories over Emilio Aguinaldo College with 16 points and Colegio de San Juan de Letran with a near triple-double outing of 19 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.

With this victory, Mapua improved its record to 10-3 and solidified its hold of the No. 2 spot in the standings, while Hubilla's consistency has been key to their success.

Hubilla's performance was particularly significant as he played with extra motivation against his former school, San Beda, where he excelled during high school.
