CSB secures 10th win, edges closer to Finals

College of St. Benilde secured its 10th win in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Sunday, defeating Jose Rizal University with a score of 80-65.

The Blazers took control after halftime and extended their lead significantly with a dominant third quarter performance, outscoring JRU 24-4 early in the period to put them away.

Ian Torres led CSB with his career-high performance of 16 points, including three triples, while Allen Liwag contributed a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

With their biggest lead at 73-40 in the fourth quarter, the Blazers aim to secure one of the top two spots in the Final Four to earn a twice-to-beat incentive.

CSB's strong performance has positioned them as potential title favorites for the first time since winning their last seniors crown in 2000.
