Cignal secures third seed in PVL All-Filipino Conference

Cignal secured third place in the preliminaries of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference by defeating Akari, 25-17, 25-15, 25-21, on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

Vanie Gandler led Cignal with 15 points, while Rose Doria-Aquino and rookie Ishie Lalongisip contributed 12 and 10 hits respectively.

With an 8-3 record, Cignal will enter the playoff round as the third seed, facing the tenth-seeded team on February 27.

Cignal's victory solidifies their position ahead of PLDT High Speed Hitters and Choco Mucho Flying Titans based on FIVB tiebreaker rules.

The team expressed confidence in their performance and is now focusing on preparation for upcoming matches leading to the quarterfinals.
