Covid-19 growth rate drops in NCR, surges in other cities

The growth rate of Covid-19 cases has decreased in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby provinces like Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal.

As of Monday, January 24, the daily attack rate in NCR dropped to 61 per 100,000 individuals from over 100 previously.

OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David noted that while positivity rates may have decreased, they are still high risk.

However, outside of NCR, cities like Davao, Baguio, and Cebu reported record-high new cases with Davao recording the highest at 1,831 new cases on January 23.
