Baguio City cases plateauing, expect downward trend in February

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong reported on Friday that COVID-19 cases in the city are plateauing and expect a downward trend by February.

Currently, active cases stand at 3,022 after reaching almost 4,900 earlier.

Magalong projects two weeks of plateauing followed by a decline starting the second week of February.

The city maintains high testing rates with a positivity rate of 43 percent and continues to prioritize contact tracing.
