LCP urges gov’t to prioritize more high-risk areas for vaccines

The League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) urged the national government to include more high-risk areas experiencing COVID-19 surges in its vaccine rollout plan.

City mayors, including LCP president Mayor Bing Leonardia and secretary-general Mayor Arnan Panaligan, requested that areas like Batangas, Pampanga, Cagayan Valley, and parts of the Cordillera Administrative Region be prioritized for vaccines.

The letter to NTF chief Carlito Galvez Jr. highlighted the increasing number of cases in cities outside 'NCR Plus,' Cebu, and Davao, emphasizing concerns over declining vaccine supplies.
