Metro mayors eye uniform policy vs. vaccine selling

Metro Manila mayors will discuss whether there is a need for a uniform ordinance against selling COVID-19 vaccine slots.

Pasay City Mayor Emi-Calixto Rubiano announced that the city council will pass an ordinance penalizing the illegal sale of coronavirus vaccines and vaccination slots.

MMDA chair Benhur Abalos warned that individuals selling COVID-19 vaccination slots could face jail time, as authorities investigate alleged sales in Mandaluyong City.

Taguig City condemned the commercialization of Covid-19 vaccines and vowed to prosecute anyone soliciting money for registration or scheduling.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno signed an ordinance banning the sale, distribution, or administration of COVID-19 vaccines for profit, with penalties including fines, jail time, and revocation of business license.
