Duterte not discussing Charter change with Cabinet

President Rodrigo Duterte is not discussing Charter change with his Cabinet amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.

Nograles stated that the President has not mentioned charter change in meetings or discussions within the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Despite support from over 1,000 local government unit leaders for constitutional reforms aimed at giving more autonomy and resources to LGUs, Malacañang maintains that Charter change is not a priority during this time.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque echoed Nograles' stance, emphasizing the focus on pandemic measures and noting that the President has not addressed charter change in his weekly addresses.
