House panel to convene soon to discuss mayors' Cha-cha proposal

The House Committee on Constitutional Amendments will convene within the first two weeks after President Duterte's SONA on July 27 to discuss Charter change proposals from over 1,400 mayors.

Panel chair Rufus Rodriguez said he would call a virtual meeting to tackle these proposals and other pending measures.

Rodriguez noted that he would consult with his colleagues and House leaders before proceeding with the discussions amid the ongoing pandemic.
