Castro urges pro-Velasco House leaders to quit posts

Capiz Rep Fredenil Castro challenged Marinduque Rep Lord Allan Velasco and his supporters to resign from their leadership positions in the House of Representatives.

Castro, an ally of Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, urged colleagues during a privilege speech to unite for the timely passage of the PHP4.5-trillion budget for 2021.

He said those who cannot or will not cooperate should admit defeat and step down rather than undermine efforts.
