NCR's COVID-19 Positivity Rate Hits 20.4%, Highest Since January 2022

The seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila increased to 20.4% as of May 3, the highest since January 2022 during the Omicron BA.2 surge.

OCTA Research Fellow Dr. Guido David noted that hospital occupancy also slightly rose to 25.5%, up from 24.7% on May 3.

The national positivity rate increased to 17.1%, with Camarines Sur recording the highest at 39.7%. OCTA warns that NCR's positivity rate could reach 25% within a week.
