Cagayan de Oro COVID lab to open in 2 weeks

The COVID-19 testing laboratory in Cagayan de Oro City, equipped with two PCR machines, is set to open in two weeks.

Mayor Oscar Moreno stated that the lab aims to maintain the city's low-risk status for the virus and will also benefit Caraga and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Cagayan de Oro has purchased two RT-PCR machines to equip a local tuberculosis testing center which is undergoing assessment for coronavirus testing.

The TB testing center, located at the DOH regional headquarters, is currently on the third stage of its accreditation process for coronavirus testing.
