Gin Kings take 2-1 series lead over Beermen

Gin Kings secured a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series against the Beermen with an impressive performance from Justin Brownlee and Japeth Aguilar.

Brownlee led with 30 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five blocks, while Aguilar contributed 22 points, eight boards, and three assists.

Head coach Tim Cone highlighted improved defensive efforts as the key factor in securing the win, limiting San Miguel's big men to just 12 points combined.

San Miguel's Eji Anosike scored a game-high 32 points but was unable to overcome Ginebra's defense that stifled the rest of their lineup.

Ginebra will now aim for a commanding 3-1 lead in Game 4 set on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
