Ginebra loses to Beermen in OT, trails 0-2

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel lost to the San Miguel Beermen in overtime during Game 2 of the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup semifinals on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum with a final score of 131-125.

Justin Brownlee led Barangay Ginebra with a game-high 39 points, including clutch long bombs late in regulation, along with 15 rebounds and seven assists but it wasn't enough to secure victory for his team.

San Miguel mounted a comeback after trailing by an 11-point deficit late in the fourth quarter, tying the score at 97-all before forcing overtime where they outscored Ginebra 21-15.

Terrence Romeo scored seven straight points from beyond the arc to give San Miguel breathing room and earned Best Player of the Game honors with 26 points on perfect shooting.

San Miguel's EJ Anosike contributed a team-high 35 points and nine rebounds, while CJ Perez added 28 points; Ginebra will face San Miguel again in Game 3 on Sunday in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
