Tarlac mayor Alice Guo transferred to regular cell with lung infection

Medical findings indicate that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo is suffering from a lung infection but tested negative for tuberculosis.

Guo was initially placed in an isolated cell with three inmates who have tuberculosis due to her medical concerns.

However, after testing negative for TB and being diagnosed with a lung infection, she was transferred to a regular cell within the general population of the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory on Monday morning at 9:14 a.m.

BJMP spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Joseph Bustinera confirmed that Guo will now share her cell with 43 other inmates.

The Pasig Regional Trial Court-Branch 167, handling her non-bailable case of qualified human trafficking, canceled the hearing for an urgent motion filed by Guo's camp to remain at the PNP Custodial Center after receiving confirmation from the Pasig City Jail that she had been committed there.
