Alice Guo transferred to Pasig City Jail

Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was transferred from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame to Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory on Monday morning following an order from the Pasig Regional Trial Court.

Guo's convoy left Camp Crame around 8:49 a.m. and she was officially received at Pasig City Jail by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at 9:33 a.m., after undergoing medical examination.

The transfer, ordered due to Guo's non-bailable qualified trafficking case, faced delays on Friday evening but proceeded as scheduled on Monday morning.

Guo will share a cell with other detainees in the jail designed for nine inmates but currently housing 44 PDLs, and she may be isolated with TB patients due to security concerns and medical findings.

Her arraignment and pre-trial are set for Sept. 27 via videoconferencing, while a House of Representatives quad committee is preparing to release a 'matrix' linking Guo and her co-accused to Chinese triads and POGOs.
