Tail-end of frontal system triggers rain, PAGASA warns

The tail-end of a frontal system is causing moderate to heavy rainfall in Bicol and parts of the Visayas on Saturday.

Flash floods have already hit Negros Occidental at the start of 2021, with more flooding reported in some areas.

Heavy or prolonged rainfall can trigger flash floods and landslides, particularly in saturated regions.

PAGASA advises communities to be vigilant as the intertropical convergence zone has moved away from these areas but continues to pose risks.
