National U women's, men's volleyball teams excel; Belen, Disquitado stand out

National University has reclaimed its dominance in the third week of UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournaments with standout performances from Bella Belen and Jade Disquitado.

Belen led her women's team to victories against Far Eastern University and the University of the East, earning the Collegiate Press Corps' Player of the Week award for March 4-10.

The Lady Bulldogs' success is attributed to collective effort rather than individual star players, with Belen emphasizing unity among teammates.

Disquitado was crucial in the men's team's five-game winning streak, scoring a career-high 29 points against FEU and contributing significantly in subsequent matches.

Coach Dante Alinsunirin praised Disquitado's growth both on and off the court, highlighting his improved receiving skills and defensive abilities.

Both Belen and Disquitado were named Collegiate Press Corps Players of the Week for March 6-10, recognizing their consistent efforts in lifting National University’s volleyball program through the early stages of the season.
