FEU's Faida Bakanke and DLSU's Noel Kampton named UAAP Players of the Week

FEU's Faida Bakanke and De La Salle University's Noel Kampton have been named the Collegiate Press Corps' UAAP Players of the Week for April 9 to 14.

Bakanke, a rookie from Congo, led FEU to a women's Final Four return with standout performances against Adamson and UST, scoring 21 points in a five-set victory over league-leading UST on April 13.

Kampton helped De La Salle secure their hold of the third seed by delivering crucial points in victories over UE and NU despite being undermanned, tallying 18 points and 22 excellent receptions against NU on April 14.

Head coach Manolo Refugia praised Bakanke for adapting well to her new environment, overcoming cultural and language barriers.

Both players emphasized their pride in their team's achievements and commitment to respecting their coaches' systems.
