DOH reports 177 new Delta variant cases

The Department of Health reported 177 new cases of the Delta coronavirus variant on Thursday, bringing the total to 627.

Of these, 144 are local cases, three involve returning overseas Filipinos, and 30 are still under verification.

Local cases were distributed across several regions with the National Capital Region having the highest number at 90 cases followed by CALABARZON with 25 cases.

The DOH also reported additional cases of other variants: 102 Alpha variant cases, 59 Beta variant cases, and 14 Theta variant cases.
