Over 30 minors, 2 staff test positive for COVID-19 in Lapu-Lapu

Over 30 minors and two staff members at a government home care center in Lapu-Lapu City tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, August 10.

The children are aged between 6 to 17 years old and more than half of the center’s 60 tested residents have been confirmed as asymptomatic.

Additionally, 27 minors living in a shelter in Cebu City also tested positive for COVID-19.

Lapu-Lapu Mayor Junard Chan assured parents that proper care is being provided to the children and the facility has been placed under lockdown for 14 days.
