Ateneo beats Adamson 19-11 in UAAP basketball, moves to second place

Adamson University secured a 4-1 victory over the University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 86 softball tournament on Saturday.

However, Ateneo de Manila University later defeated Adamson University with a 19-11 decision in the basketball tournament on Sunday at UP Diliman Baseball Field.

Ateneo's win improved their standing to second place with a 4-3 record, tied with NU Bulldogs and De La Salle University.

Down by eight runs heading into the seventh inning, Ateneo staged an impressive comeback scoring eight runs in that frame alone to seal the victory.

The game featured a season-high 30 total runs, with Ateneo head coach Bocc Bernardo praising his team's character and resilience throughout the match.
