Antique capital rolls out Sputnik V vax

San Jose de Buenavista, Antique's capital, began rolling out the Sputnik V vaccine on July 8.

Mayor Elmer Untaran reported that 200 residents were vaccinated on the first day and expects more vaccinations to occur as supplies arrive.

The province received 2,400 vials of the Gamaleya Sputnik V vaccine on July 7, enough for 2,400 eligible individuals.

IPHO information officer Irene Dulduco noted that the vaccine has a high efficacy rate and requires RHUs to maintain master lists of recipients.
