Shaina Nitura scores 32 points in Adamson's upset win over NU

Shaina Nitura led Adamson with an impressive performance of 32 points, including 30 attacks and two blocks, as the Adamson Lady Falcons upset National University Lady Bulldogs in a thrilling match with scores 25-23, 15-25, 28-26, 25-22 during the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament on Sunday.

Nitura’s performance marks the first time in UAAP history that a player has recorded at least 30 points four times in a season in the women's division.

Adamson secured a crucial victory that keeps their Final Four hopes alive, improving to a 4-7 win-loss record while National University dropped to 9-2.

The match was particularly close in the third set, which Adamson won to take a 2-1 lead before ultimately prevailing in the fourth set.

Nitura expressed her determination to work harder and bring the Lady Falcons to greater heights as they aim for a playoff spot.

National University will face the winless University of the East next, while Adamson aims to maintain its playoff aspirations against Far Eastern University on Saturday, April 12.
