DOH: No XBB.1.5 cases detected in PH

As of Tuesday, January 3, the Department of Health (DOH) reports no cases of the Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 detected in the Philippines.

The DOH assures ongoing surveillance and monitoring activities to detect potential variants entering the country.

While over 40% of COVID-19 cases in the US are caused by XBB.1.5, the DOH emphasizes the importance of layers of protection such as sanitation, masking, distancing, vaccination, boosters, and good ventilation.
