DSWD provides PHP5K aid to 4Ps beneficiaries across regions

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided emergency cash aid to over 179,000 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Caraga region under the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer program.

Each beneficiary received PHP3,650 as part of a PHP5,000 total assistance aimed at supporting families affected by the enhanced community quarantine to prevent COVID-19 spread.

In Region 1, around 205,000 4Ps households have received PHP5,500 in cash aid under the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP), which includes a PHP4,150 emergency subsidy for April, along with regular health and rice grants.

The DSWD is working to identify additional beneficiaries including indigent families not part of 4Ps and near-poor households in need of support.

In Central Visayas, all 4Ps beneficiaries have received their emergency cash subsidy through bank accounts or cash cards as part of the SAP rollout.
