DOLE: Over 630K workers displaced due to coronavirus

As of Wednesday, over 630,000 workers have been displaced due to the coronavirus pandemic in the Philippines.

DOLE has released PHP160 million for affected workers and aims to accelerate assistance distribution under its CAMP program.

In Western Visayas, 2,404 workers from 161 establishments received financial aid worth about PHP12.2 billion.

Nationwide, 34,253 workers have availed of the PHP5,000 one-time cash incentive provided by DOLE.

In Region 12, close to 2,000 displaced workers received P9 million in assistance from MLhuillier and other private establishments.
