DOLE, LandBank distribute PHP1.2B to 250K workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) have distributed PHP1.2 billion in financial assistance to 250,000 workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic under the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).

Each worker received a one-time PHP5,000 cash grant based on submissions from 2,773 private companies, with most beneficiaries located in the National Capital Region.

The financial aid is being credited directly to workers' existing LANDBANK accounts or other bank accounts through the LANDBANK Remittance System (LBRS)/PESONet Facility, or via remittance partner Palawan Express for those without a deposit account.

LANDBANK waived all fees and charges associated with this cash grant.
