PH administers over 33M COVID-19 vaccines; falls short of daily targets

As of Tuesday, Aug 31, the Philippines has administered over 33M doses of COVID-19 vaccines since March.

The DOH reported around 19M first doses and 14M fully vaccinated individuals as of August 29.

The government failed to meet its target of administering 500K doses daily for the last week of August, averaging only 387K doses per day.

NTF chief Galvez announced that 54.5 million doses are expected in September and October, with about 137M more doses arriving before year-end.

Finance Secretary Dominguez stated that the Philippines has secured a total of 194.89M vaccine doses, enough to cover over 100% of the adult population.
