Manila gets 400K Sinovac doses for 450th anniversary

Manila received an additional 400,000 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines on Thursday, June 24.

The shipment arrived in time for the city's 450th founding anniversary and is crucial to meet high vaccination demand; on Tuesday, Manila administered a record-high 35,572 doses.

Mayor Isko Moreno welcomed the delivery at NAIA, emphasizing that more vaccinations will contribute to economic recovery.

The vaccines were procured through a tripartite deal with the national government and IP-Biotech after Manila raised over P298 million for the purchase.
