Philippines to receive 'more than enough' Moderna vaccines starting July

The Philippines will receive 'more than enough' doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine starting July, with the first delayed delivery arriving on June 27.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. announced that 250,000 doses of Moderna vaccines and 1.5 million Sinovac vaccines will arrive in the country by June 24.

Additionally, 2.028 million AstraZeneca doses from COVAX are expected to be shipped within the month, along with 150,000 Sputnik V component 2 doses and a US vaccine donation before the end of June.

Logistical challenges caused by flight issues have delayed the arrival of some Moderna vaccines by four days until June 25.
