Antique implements GCQ, three towns stay under ECQ

Antique began implementing a 15-day general community quarantine (GCQ) on Friday, which was welcomed by residents.

During a meeting on Thursday, Governor Rhodora Cadiao and members of the provincial board decided to follow the national Inter-Agency Task Force's recommendation for GCQ in the province.

However, three municipalities—Caluya, Pandan, and Sebaste—will remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Governor Cadiao stated that a reassessment meeting would be held after May 15 to evaluate the effectiveness of GCQ for Antique residents.
