Samar mayor urges front-liners to be cautious after COVID-19 cases

Tarangnan Mayor Arnel Tan has urged front-liners to be cautious after nine residents, mostly health workers, tested positive for COVID-19.

Tan's appeal came as a 54-year-old woman from nearby Catbalogan City, who works at Tarangnan Community Hospital, also tested positive.

Catbalogan Mayor Dexter Uy has imposed travel restrictions in the populated Mercedes village until May 19 to facilitate contact tracing and rapid testing for those who had direct interaction with the infected person.
