Philippines reports 1,581 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines reported 1,581 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total to over 514,000.

Quezon City recorded the highest daily increase with 89 new cases, followed by Cebu City and Cavite.

Total recoveries rose to 475,422 after 13 more patients recovered from the illness, while the death toll climbed to 10,292 with 50 new fatalities.

The DOH also reported that two more health workers succumbed to COVID-19 over the past week, raising the total deaths among medical personnel to 78 and infections to 14,257.

Active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine increased to 29,282.
