DFA: 193 more Pinoys overseas contract COVID-19

As of Tuesday, August 31, 2021, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that 193 more Filipinos abroad have contracted COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 22,906.

The recovery count increased by 120, raising it to 12,928, while the death toll rose to 1,369 with two new fatalities.

Active cases stand at 8,609. The Middle East/Africa region continues to have the highest number of active cases (5,478), recoveries (6,568), and deaths (919).

Over the past week, only the Americas did not report new COVID-19 infections among Filipinos abroad.
