196 Filipino preachers from KL event identified

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region's Inter-Agency Task Force has identified 196 out of 215 Filipino preachers who attended a religious event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Of the 215 attendees, 19 tested positive for COVID-19 and are being held in Malaysian hospitals.

Six Malaysian nationals among the group are under quarantine in Basilan, while 35 others are asymptomatic and under monitoring in BARMM.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos reports that two of the Filipino preachers have died or remain hospitalized in the Philippines.
