PUI dies in Koronadal; test results pending

A patient under investigation (PUI) for Covid-19 died in Koronadal City on March 17.

The PUI's swab samples were sent to RITM for testing, but results have not yet been released.

If the test result is positive and the patient had no travel history or exposure to confirmed cases, it would indicate possible community transmission of Covid-19 in Soccsksargen.

This case follows another PUI death reported on March 14 in Tacurong City.

The provincial government placed South Cotabato under an enhanced community quarantine and calibrated total lockdown for 14 days starting midnight to contain the spread of the disease.
